30 Dec THIS IS A TRAP

This is a trap | Trabajo en proceso
This is a trap is the third work created jointly by Paula Baró and Marina Quesada (Argentina) together with Igor Cardellini and Tomas Gonzalez (Switzerland). In it, they continue to investigate how societies in the Global North and South are affected by present and past utopias.
This is a trap is inspired on interviews with members of the association Aînées pour le climat — Elders for Climate — as well as the scientists and lawyers who built and carried out a lawsuit against the Swiss state. For eight years, they pursued a legal process denouncing the government's inaction on the climate crisis, which resulted in a favorable ruling by the European Court of Human Rights.
In every discussion about the climate crisis—or about the future—the question of action inevitably arises. What can be done when the problems seem overwhelmingly large? What forms of collective action can emerge from the sensitive, the cultural, the common? How do we act locally in order to have an impact globally?
This is a trap trabaja desde un espectro de narrativas situadas y proyectadas hacía el futuro. Reflexiona sobre la noción de “Co-presencia” de diversas formas de vida en un mundo globalizado.
